Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the Loaf:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper, allowing extra parchment to hang over the sides for easy removal.
  1. Make the Batter:
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add half of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, followed by the milk, and then the remaining dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  1. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
  • In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  1. Assemble the Loaf:
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  • Spread the remaining batter on top, and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • If the top is browning too quickly, tent with aluminum foil during the last 10-15 minutes of baking.
  1. Cool and Serve:
  • Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then lift it out using the parchment paper and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and enjoy your Cinnamon Sugar Crunch Loaf!

This loaf pairs wonderfully with a warm cup of coffee or tea and is sure to become a favorite in your baking rotation!
