  • Base Layer:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Caramel Layer:
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chocolate Layer:
  • 1 1/2 cups milk or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Topping:
  • Drizzle of melted chocolate (optional)
  • Crushed nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until a crumbly dough forms.
  • Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool.
  1. Make the Caramel:
  • In a saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and honey.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and turns a golden caramel color (about 8-10 minutes).
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and pour the caramel over the cooled base. Let it set.

  • Melt the chocolate chips and butter together using a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  • Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the caramel layer.
