- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate Layer:
- 1 1/2 cups milk or dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp butter
- Topping:
- Drizzle of melted chocolate (optional)
- Crushed nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Base:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until a crumbly dough forms.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool.
- Make the Caramel:
- In a saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and honey.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and turns a golden caramel color (about 8-10 minutes).
